Chris Tan, Director
Chris is a technophile, entrepreneur, educator, and former banking professional who has managed to navigate the corporate world, the startup scene, and the classroom without missing a beat (or losing his sense of humour). With an impressive track record spanning strategic business development, relationship management, and teaching, he’s proven that a good plan — and a little creativity — can work wonders, whether you're building a business, crunching numbers, or giving presentations that don’t put people to sleep.
As the founder and co-founder of a couple of bootstrapped startups , Chris has worn many hats — sometimes even all at once — and has become a master of strategic planning, app development, and pretending to understand everything the IT team is saying. From developing product strategies to managing transnational teams, he's proficient in the art of getting things done while keeping everyone on track. His career in banking gives him an edge in finance, sales, building strong client relationships and structuring complex deals — skill sets he’s transferred seamlessly into the startup world and education sector.
Whether he's designing financial models, teaching the next generation of innovators about real-world survival tactics (like not spending all your money on bubble tea), or working on his latest venture, his approach is always strategic, insightful, refreshingly approachable, and maybe just a little bit confusing... but in a good way.
